[Reasonable Accommodations under the Fair Housing Act].
The Area Housing Authority adheres to the requirements for Reasonable Accommodation as established under the Fair Housing Act.
Requests for reasonable accommodation are assessed on a case-by-case basis.
Before making a determination whether to approve the request, the Area Housing Authority may enter into discussion and negotiation with the family, request more information from the family, or may require the family to sign a consent form so that the Area Housing Authority may verify the need for the requested accommodation.
The Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Administrative Plan provides additional information on Reasonable Accommodation.
