EMERGENCY HOUSING VOUCHERS (EHV)

The Area Housing Authority of the County of Ventura (AHA) has been awarded 63 Emergency Housing Vouchers (EHV) under the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021. Applicants for this program will be referred by the Ventura County Continuum of Care (COC), Coordinated Entry System.

The program is designed to assist applicants that are:

  1. Homeless;
  2. At-risk of homelessness;
  3. Fleeing, or attempting to flee, domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, stalking or human trafficking; or
  4. Recently homeless and for whom providing rental assistance will prevent the family’s homelessness or having high risk of housing instability.

*income limits apply to all categories of applicants

The AHA cannot accept applications directly from the public.

If you believe you may be eligible for this program, please contact 211 or one of the agencies on the attached list to be connected with an applicable COC partnering agency. Please note that connection to the Coordinated Entry System does not guarantee your eligibility or prioritization for housing or rental subsidy assistance.  The AHA does not accept applications or determine the selection process for these vouchers, so all inquiries and requests for assistance should be directed to 211 or one of the agencies listed.
