Oak Creek Senior Villas are centrally located in the heart of Thousand Oaks and provide easy access to shopping, transit routes, and medical services. Situated on approximately 3 acres, the building is surrounded by beautiful, mature oak trees. The complex features an on-site manager, library, community room, kitchen, and craft room. Resident services are provided by the Area Housing Authority.
The previously vacant lot was filled with abandoned vehicles and was a blight on an otherwise active and attractive neighborhood. This project was developed by Oak Creek Housing Investors, L.P. and is managed by the Area Housing Authority. Oak Creek Senior Villas targets households at 50% - 65% of the area median income, however, the majority of tenants are at, or below 30% of the area median income.
In order to finance this $11.6 million project, funding was secured through numerous layers of financing and a combination of loans and grants.
